Application to medical schools
There are largely three phases of the medical school application process. The first phase is the primary application, which is submitted through AMCAS and includes transcripts, personal statements, extracurricular activities, and MCAT scores. The second phase is the secondary application, which is specific to each school and includes questions and application fees. The third phase is the medical school interview, which determines whether a student is accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. The process is ongoing, and decisions are made on a rolling basis, so submitting applications as early as possible is important. Successful applicants should view each phase as an opportunity to showcase their best qualities.
